Today I had delicious, all-you-can-eat sushi with a small group of bloggers who met for the first time last month at Blissdom Canada. I had this idea a few weeks ago, to get whoever wanted to get together, to meet kinda half way between Mississauga and London, for lunch. I called it, #blisslunch. I brought along a couple friends that are getting more serious in their blogging as a business, to help them grow their sphere of influence.

Blisslunch isn’t just a me thing. I encourage all Blissdom Canada people to plan a little get-together in their area. Use the hashtag (#blisslunch) on Twitter so we can follow where you are!!

10 bloggers and 3 kids managed to make it to Aji Sai Sushi in Milton for noon. We had a great lunch, the food was absolutely delicious (the service… not so yummy) but the company was the best part. Although it was a bit difficult to talk over the noise of the busy restaurant, we managed to share a few stories and gather a few more business cards. These women are doing some pretty incredible work online and in their personal lives, I wanted to spend more time talking!

The 3 little ones that were there kept themselves busy, they got along famously. From crawling under the table and my Jake trying to take off Esther’s (from E-StorePlus) boots to sitting at one end of the table… making their very own Vlog!

Being my child, I shouldn’t be too shocked when I come across certain things on my iPhone! Things like this…

Did you hear my boy’s opening line??! “This is from Dot Com Jacob” that just cracks me up!!

In the middle of our meal, the manager of the restaurant brings me the phone. He tells me that I have a call… I’m thinking, “Who knows I’m here?!” Dumb thought seeing as I’ve been tweeting it incessantly for the past few weeks, checked in with FourSquare and put it all over Facebook… 🙂

There’s a beautifully familiar voice on the other end. “Hello Shannon, this is Barbara Jones from Blissdom Canada…” I’m pretty sure, I screamed back every word she said to me to the other ladies at the table. She wanted to let us know that she would have loved to have been there and was glad we were keeping the Bliss alive. Along those lines anyway, I was grinning from ear to ear… which isn’t too difficult for me but none-the-less… It was a GREAT addition to the day!
