Today is March 1st, 19 more days until it is ‘officially’ spring. I want spring right now. Today! I am so cold. It is only -4 C out and the sun is shining but with the wind chill factor it is more like -11 C.
Winter seems to go on forever out here. It’s at this time of year that I miss the West Coast. I miss the early spring. The flowers breaking through the soil. The pink blossoms on the trees. People walking hand in hand along the beach. No parkas. No tuke. No mitts. No chapped lips and cracked hands.
Even though the calender says that spring begins on March 20th – it won’t be until May that it will feel like it does out West in February.
I’m whining. I know!
I need to go find my Arctic wear now – the kids are getting off the bus in 5 minutes… maybe a good cup of hot cocoa will help……… or a trip to the Bahamas.

Maybe we should change our weekend plans to go to the Bahamas instead!
