This past Sunday was our church’s annual picnic. We had a blast! I think we spent 10 hours by the beach, talking, eating, swimming, playing games and talking some more. We love to fellowship!! It’s like one big happy family, honestly… it is!

The kids didn’t come off the sand all day, well at least Q didn’t. He was too busy digging trenches and canals for water to flow down. We’ve been going to this same park for picnic’s for 6 or so years – it’s one of the highlights of the year.

The day was filled with all sorts of games and prizes, the kids enjoyed the ribbons the most. The guys had their annual “bake-off” competition, my hubby came in first for the men and Q came in first for the kids. They both worked hard on their desserts. Dave went over the top with his!! The park had an inflatable waterslide up for us to use and of course the beach volleyball courts were busy all day long. We even had a volleyball tournament with engraved medals for the bronze, silver and gold winners. The games were also great – better than the usual tug-a-rope kinda games too. All ages were involved. My friend Wave really out-did herself this year. She is letting more and more of her god-given creative side shine through!!

Our friends church from down the street joined us again this year, in total around 200 were out for the day. They left in the afternoon but we just hung out until the sun started to set. It was a perfect day with perfect weather with the perfect family!!
