The Santa Fe Eggs Benedict is my very favourite breakfast meal at The Roadhouse Grille Restaurant in South Surrey, BC. My parents restaurant. It was nice to sit down with my hubby, mom and dad and enjoy each other’s company, sans children, over a hot meal and a great cup of coffee.

We didn’t get to sit together for too long… in usual fashion, my dad was up and down all breakfast long, seating people and clearing tables. They were short a buser and a cook this morning for breakfast and in through lunch.  Seeing as I am very much like my father… I couldn’t leave that place without helping.

I quickly put my hubby to work, he wiped down tables and I took names at the door and sat people. We cleared tables and brought waters around, mingled around the tables and made sure people were happy and well taken care of.  2 hours quickly passed.

It’s been a while since I was a waitress… but I’ve never forgotten how to serve.
