I just got back from camping for what seems like a year but it was only 5 nights. Sleeping on the ground, deluxe air mattress or not, it is not good for my body. The sheep baaaaahing behind our tent at 4am didn’t help either….
I laid there beside my hubby of 16 years, listening to him snore and bouncing around while he tossed and turned, getting motion sick as if we were in a waterbed. I couldn’t help but think back to the soft wonderful bed I slept in during the last camping trip or shall I say… GLAMPING trip!
Let me introduce you to Bingeman’s Glamping Yurt!

Beautifully nestled right along the Grand River, in Kitchener Ontario, Bingeman’s has something for each level of camping comfort.

This particular Glamping Yurt package is $210 per night and comes with 4 one day Big Splash passes (which cost over $107.80 + taxes all on their own) and 4 passes to the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory (approx $52 value).  All these extras makes the Glamping Yurt an affordable alternative for those who want to experience the outdoors but with some flare!

The Glamping Yurt features 2 Queen sized beds (very comfortable) with linens, and electricity. We had two fans, fridge & the chandelier plus outlets around the walls. A small couch and two chairs with side tables were also inside.

There are 6 of us, they brought in 2 blow up beds for our extra bodies

The Glamping Yurt sits on a deck with plenty of space for a few Muskoka chairs, overlooking the Grand River.

There were a few things Bingeman’s could do to enhance the total Glamping experience; it would have been a great touch to have had wood provided for the campfire, the picnic table was run down and needed to be replaced, and the inside of the Yurt could have been swept out to get rid of all the cobwebs.
I must say though… after roasting marshmallows and making spider dogs over our
campfire, I did sleep through the night. That is something I can’t say I
normally ever do while camping.

Thank you Bingeman’s for setting my family up to experience the Gamping Yurt first hand.

  1. Oh my gosh, we need to try Glamping! We live so close to Kitchener too, and I've heard of Bingemans. Will definitely have to check it out…because sleeping on the ground in a regular tent just doesn't do it for me anymore lol.

  2. You are SO RIGHT! When we got our boat and I bought an electric toaster, Hubby exclaimed, "But that uses electricity!!!!" My come-back was, "We're not camping anymore." Sleeping on the ground is only the beginning of agonies when camping is the topic of conversation in my book.

  4. So awesome! My wife and I were just discussing doing something like this with our kids instead of regular tent camping. I'm glad you guys had fun!!

  5. glad that you had a great time with the glamping! Still not sure I would be able to give up the comfort of a hotel though

  6. Sounds like my kind of camping!

  7. TOTALLY Glam camping! LOL Looks FUN!

  8. Glamping is not for me. I prefer the wilderness where there is only wildlife. By the way, I have slept on a waterbed for about 30 years.

  9. looks fun, I've been looking into some sites for glamping this fall!
