Well, after a long night traveling across the country…. I’ve arrived! The extra 2 hr layover in Calgary was boring but I was glad to be able to get out and move around.

Note to self: When seated in the row in front of the emergency exits…. MOVE! Those seats don’t recline!! I somehow hurt my back this weekend and thankfully I managed to get into my trusty Chiropractor yesterday afternoon but having to sit straight up for 3 hrs and 32 minutes from home to Calgary… wasn’t enjoyable to say the least! Thankfully I reclined on the 2nd leg of the trip and fell fast asleep… for the 1 hr that we were in the air anyways!

I had to include the picture of my feet. What would a trip be without a picture of my toes taking a journey?! 🙂

My parents picked me up at the Abbotsford Airport. There’s a lot to say for a small town airport! I’d much rather land there than have to put up with driving in and out of Vancouver!! Same goes from my hometown verses Toronto!!

When we got back to my parents place, I stayed up until midnight (that’s 3am my time) talking with my Daddio, trying to unwind from the journey… by this morning I was ready for a good hearty breakfast! 🙂 Why is it that it’s easier to travel West and have no jet leg than it is to travel East??!!  So back to breakfast… It helps that my parents own the best restaurant anywhere!! (hehehe I am going to do as many shameless plugs for McJac’s Roadhouse Grille while I’m here, so get used to it!! LOL I wouldn’t be a good daughter if I didn’t!)

So this morning, I had my ultimate favourite breakfast here. The Santa Fe Eggs Benedict. What makes it so special?

Besides that wonderful, homemade hollandaise sauce?!

And the beautifully poached eggs?!

I’m a huge fan of Avocados and under all that yummy goodness are slices of tender – soft – like – butter Avocados and on the side… homemade Salsa. I only eat a few of the pan fried potatoes that go on almost every plate but that’s only because I’m soooo full after I finish off the main attraction.

By the time I finish writing this post… it’ll be time for lunch! Are you jealous yet??! 🙂 You could always come for a visit you know.  My parents are very hospitable people!

Where do you think I get it from?!!
